Raven Sinclair
Dr. Raven Sinclair is a member of George Gordon First Nation with strong Young Dog Assiniboine and Red River Métis roots. She is the Chair and Director of Programs, Services, and Research with the Gitwin Qaumata Miyopimâtisiwin Foundation (Indian Boarding Homes Program Class Action). She retired from her role as a full professor of Social Work in December 2022. She has 30 years of Indigenous research and research ethics experience in Indigenous child welfare, youth suicide, cultural identity, and trauma recovery. She is a member of the CIHR College of Reviewers and an appointee to the Expert Advisory Committee on Indigenous Services Canada reform (CHRT 2017). She is a mom, public speaker, trainer, and home renovator.
